How to maintain a Computer?

If we consider a computer, there are two main ways for it which cause the problem. it comes in either way, Hardware and Software.

All the touchable parts of the computer are known as Hardware. We use some “programs” to operate this Hardware. Those programs are called Software. If a problem occurs in operating system, then a computer will not work.

The Hardware parts of a computer won't damage very quickly. According to the hardware parts quality, we can use it for a long time. Due to some situation, hardware parts can damage. And also the programs, which are known as software can easily damage the computers. When there are small problems in the program, the computer will get affected. Therefore the computer itself corrects all the programs with the help of the operating system.

So let’s do the following steps to maintain a computer.

If we didn’t maintain or use any electronic machine properly, those electronic machines won't work again. This sentences suits to computer also. A computer's enemy is the person who uses the computer.

The reason for the damage of a computer is because we are not considering the basic maintenance of the computer.

The unwanted programs that we install in a computer( sometimes this brings harmful viruses into your PC ).

Keeping the computer in unsuitable places. (Dusty area, heating area, cold area etc…) these are the few  reason for the damage of a computer.

Some websites give free fake programs. If we install those programs, the particular program sent our data from the computer to particular person without knowing us. Some program brings virus to the computer and damages them. 

And also virus can spread to our computers by reading the unknown person mail. So read the mails which we get only from known person. 

We can only use the data and files which we copied from a computer without any virus. By doing this you can protect your data.

We should scan the computers at least once in a month. Operating system has some special program to solve the problem of the computer itself. But these programs won't work automatically. So we have to manually operate and use it for our needs.One of the program it is scanning. 

How to do this scanning?

Double click on My Computer

Right click on “C” drive.

Select “Properties”

“Local Disk (C:) Properties” will appear.

Click on “Tools” tab.

Then select “Check Now”.

Now “Check Local Disk (C:)” will appear.

In that window, put two ticks on “Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors” and“Automatically fix file system errors”. 

Now Click on “Start”.

Scan starts immediately.


Some operating system needs the reboot to run the scanning. For this process computer will ask permission for reboot from you. If reboot ask, click on Yes.

Now all the data from the computer are scanned and if there is any problem in that data, those problems will correct automatically. Also if any" sector" in the hard disk damages, the data’s from that "sector" will be transfer to another place, and it helps the computer to work properly.

Note: scanning duration take due to hard disk size and data size.
