Now a day’s around the world all are using computers. But, the people who are using should know about the basic of computer. So let’s first of all look what is computer?
When there are lots of electronic devices such as (capacitors, diodes, transistors etc…) and join them together form Electronic machine. In this electronic machine we install a program called “Operating System” to run this machine. With the help of the Operating System, we can do our work very fast, reliable and accurate. A machine which creates the above needs is known as computer.
All the works of the computers is doe under the operating system. When using the application software, the operating system joins with application software and creates the situation to run this application software. Frequently the operating system gives the information, commands to CPU, which has already recorded.
Classification of computer
The computer is classified in various type to fulfill all the people’s all needs. Computer can be classified into 4 types. They are
Personal Computer
Desktop PC
Tower PC
Laptop PC
Hand held PC
Network PC
Minicomputer
Minicomputers are mostly used by small type of business persons, universities or colleges. This computer connects with many other computers and works at the same time. It’s much smaller than mainframe computer and less expensive.
Mainframe computers
This can process millions of instruction per second and capable of excising billions of data. Many other huge companies prefer main frame because of its capability of retrieving data on a huge basis. It’s normally too expensive.
Super computer
It is used in higher research centers example in Nasa. It process millions of instructions per seconds. It’s multiple high performances computer working parallel as a single system. It is biggest in size and expensive in price than any other type of computers
